Fabulous Drinks and Ribs
June 12, 2013 |
My girlfriends and I went to Anthony's for lunch and had wonderful service and a great time. We had conch fritters for appetizers and they were delicious. Then I had the ribs and they were moist and flavorful without having too much spice. But my very favorite thing was my Guava Cream Dream Drink. This is a frozen drink that was so delicious - I have tried to recreate it several times at home without the same result! It is so refreshing on a hot Bahamian day. Anthony's is a short walk from Atlantis and it was nice to "get out" and about to try some different kind of food and drinks. I am from Florida and go to the Bahamas whenever I get the chance and I will definitely go back to Anthony's.
Reasonable and a change from Atlantis

My 10 year old daughter and I ate here one evening for dinner while staying at Atlantis. It's a quick and easy walk from the Royal Towers and was something different if you will from the restaurants on the Atlantis property. Anthony's offers a decent selection of seafood, bbq'ed foods, pizza, as well as a children's menu. I had the bb'ed chicken and pineapple and my daughter got a basic burger and both were good. They seem to have quite a response to their pizzas with many people ordering them to eat at the restuarant or ordering them to go. While we did not try the pizza, the family in the suite next to us at the Royal Towers ordered the pizza in one evening and thought it was very good. Prices are typical of what you'd expect to pay on Paradise Island. I noticed some other reviews mentioned unfriendly service. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and seemed genuinely concerned that we enjoy our experience and be satisfied with our food.
We would definitely visit again if on Paradise Island.
Good food, good value

Less expensive than Atlantis for sure. We enjoyed Anthony's for lunch and dinner. Cost for dinner was just under 100.00 for 4 people. Burger and pizza plus nachos. Everything was very good. Wait staff was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Once for lunch with 6 people. Cost was 180 ish. That included beer, nachos and entrees. Not too bad. We ate outside and inside. Enjoyed both experiences. Very convenient when staying at the Comfort Suites.

Brilliant choice of food. Authentic Bahamian food and some American diner food too. The food was always fresh. Went a few times in our 5 days too. The portions are really big so be prepared for a feast!
One of my favorite restaurants

My favorite dishes are Calamari, Cracked Conch, Grouper sandwich and other daily lunch specials. The price is about right!
You need to go here

This place saved our budget! go inside and order their amazing pizza to go! It is bigger and cheaper than if you sit down and eat it inside! We had a drink at the bar while we waited, drinks are very reasonably priced!
Worth the wait

We went to Anthony's without a reservation so we had a long wait for party of five but it was worth it! Incredible lobster ravioli, shrimp with crabmeat. Island bread is so good. They also have great pizza to eat there or takeout. Located across the street from marina village so a short walk from Atlantis.
Good food and value

Visited here one night with my daughter. Quick, short walk from marina area at Atlantis...went around 6 pm and were seated immediately. Got much more crowded around 7 or 8. Pizza was excellent as were the drinks. Definitely recommend.
Good food, good price

A very nice restaurant, with friendly staff and tasty food. We ate there twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner and were impressed both times.
Best ribs in the world

I had ribs. I don't particularly like red meat but this was so good I want to go back again. The price was very reasonable.
Consistently good food and service

On three evenings, we chose Anthony's for dinner. Their pizza is crisp, thin crusted and delicious. Price for 12" pizza started at $13. The service was friendly, attentive, and at the right pace. We never waited for our food or drinks. Menu also has very good Italian and Caribbean style foods, and the prices were truly affordable. Located in Paradise Village Shopping Center behind the Marina stores. We chose to eat indoors, but there is plenty of outdoor seating as well.
Great option to Atlantis high prices

This place has the best pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The cheese is sooo good and the sauce, not sweet. We ate at this restaurant about 5 times, not to mention drinks. We met this fabulous couple who moved to the Bahamas from Canada and they were so much fun to talk to.
Authentic Good Food

Across from Atlantis is this typical Bahamian style restuarant which is very casual. They serve breakfast, luch & dinner. Drinks are very good. Food is reasonably priced & nice size porpotions. Try the Johnny Cake homemade bread.
Friendly family restaurant

We happened upon Anthony's one evening and all enjoyed it so much that we went back two more times (during our 5 day vacation). The service was friendly, the food hot fresh and tasty and the prices were reasonable (compared to the restaurants within Atlantis). We had a couple of picky eaters in our group and the kitchen was happy to make alterations to the dishes (e.g. making something without the sauce or with different side dishes). The ribs were especially popular with our party, yummy!!!
